For the last 5 years, I've worked in online marketing for a large financial institution and as an independent consultant. I also have over 25 years as an Information Technology professional.
What has remained constant, regardless of my title or responsibilities, is a passion and drive to provide the best possible service to my customers.

As an online marketing consultant, I've expanded my knowledge to cover a broad range of marketing concepts. There are a number of highly specialized marketing consultants and marketing agencies out there, at specialist prices. I am a "marketing generalist", a one-stop-shop for small to medium-sized businesses at an affordable price.

I've completed the Google Digital Garage training that provides a great overview of all aspects of marketing your business online including Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).
Accessibility Training
I've completed the W3C course Introduction to Web Accessibility (certificate link). I've also completed Workplace Wellbeing training which provided details about the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
I've completed training for Google Analytics and have built custom dashboard and reports.

To relax, I enjoy online gaming. I also have a passion for whisky and whiskey (different spellings for different countries). I've moderated tasting sessions for friends and charity, and I'm a member of the local whisky club. I love the different flavours and aromas each spirit has and I attempt to sample new brands and new bottlings whenever possible.

Building / Managing Websites
These days you don't need to be a web developer to build an awesome website that includes interesting and engaging features such as background video, booking systems, and online stores. There are several website builder tools that allow the creation of a great website with little or no coding knowledge. You can certainly have someone build you a website from scratch, though these website builder tools can provide a wealth of features and functions at a fraction of the price. My preference is to use the Wix Web Builder platform due to the impressive list of features offered and the high degree of customization the platform allows (this website was built using Wix).
